When Anthony embarked on an extended vacation across America, he promised
family and friends that he'd return–-but that was 17 years ago. Smitten
by sun-drenched California, he knew it was the place he wanted to call
home.
“If you have ambition and are dedicated, you can really do well because America
certainly tries to encourage and support the small businesses,” says Anthony.
After training in London's West End, Anthony worked as a stylist for Splinters,
trained at Vidal Sassoon and opened his own salon, before he made the trip across
the Atlantic. Today, he runs his own hair and beauty business, Londoner Salon
And Day Spa, in Los Angeles' Manhattan Beach district. Anthony also travels the
world educating other hairstylists and salon professionals, as well as his own
team at the Londoner Academy.
Anthony believes in order to be a great stylist, one should not only have a great
understanding of hair, but also have a strong body and a sharp mind. That's
why he's up every morning at 4:15 a.m. running or working out in the gym. |
